Member in the Spotlight ~ Arlene Murphy
Arlene Murphy is a Leamington artist who draws inspiration from the beauty of the natural world. She is a full time artist and co-founder of AM² Fine Art and Paint ‘n Palooza Art Events©.
Arlene is privileged to live and work surrounded by water at her home on Lake Erie and her summer home in Newfoundland. Her Impressionistic painting style utilizes bold colour and texture to create a strong visual impact with the viewer.
Travel is a huge passion and her adventures around the world continue to inform her work. Although she is experienced in all mediums she loves painting with oils. She is pleased to offer private lessons in her studio in whatever medium her clients prefer.
A significant part of Arlene’s art practice is commission work. She loves to capture that special moment, place or pet with paint. A painting is alive in a way that a photo is not and seeing the joy in her client’s face is pure magic.
Arlene is also very busy with Paint ‘n Palooza and loves teaching a group of people how to create their very own painting. Even if you’ve never picked up a paintbrush before we will get you to the finish line. And we’ll have a ton of fun too!
